Because we have four kids of varying ages, we’ve owned several different types of strollers during different stages of their lives. Each one has been convenient in its own way; 2-seat strollers are great for either two kids or a child and lots of storage.
1-seat strollers can be very convenient as well as, not only to allow rest for our little ones, but also to function as another storage solution in a much smaller package. Either way, the back of our minivan always contains a stroller of some sort.
When it comes to choosing a stroller, function and storage is very important to us. Obviously, it must be a safe and comfortable method of transporting our kids. But it also must be user-friendly and great on hauling tons of additional items like bags, food and drinks, and other things.
Nobody wants to spend 30 minutes trying to pack or unpack a tank-sized stroller! We look for strollers that are easy to unwind so we can quickly get to our destination. When I was offered to review the Safety 1st Riva 6-in-1 Flex stroller, I jumped on it because it promises to take care of my main concerns: Safety, comfort, storage, and ease of use.
Safety 1st Riva 6-in-1 Flex Modular Travel System
The first impression I got when unpacking the stroller from the box was how lightweight it is. Even when fully assembled, this unit is the most lightweight we’ve ever owned based on its size. For us, lightweight equals ease and convenience, which are major pluses.
However, this is Safety 1st we’re talking about here! Lightweight doesn’t mean unsafe. Over the years, Safety 1st has continued to introduce new and innovative products to parents, consistently giving us the power to keep our children safe. The Safety 1st Riva Flex stroller is no exception.
As the title suggests, this 6-in-1 system features several ways to transport your little ones, including the typical stroller mode, a carriage mode, and even allows transport for the included car seat. You also have the option of forward-facing and rear-facing modes.
Switching between the various modes is quick and easy; there’s no more than a button push here or a tug on a strap there.
Safety 1st Riva Flex: Convenience Exemplified
I’ve mentioned how lightweight this stroller is, and the ease of switching between the various modes. Other awesome conveniences include the ability to zip off the machine-washable fabric on the stroller! Dads, you know our strollers don’t stay pristine for long. Spills are life for parents; difficulty with cleaning a stroller shouldn’t add to the problem.
Other nice features include a large mesh storage basket underneath, and two cup holders that actually hold drinks firmly in place. Some stroller manufacturers seem to spend 5 minutes on drink holder design, when, let’s face it, hauling drinks on a stroller properly is extremely important for any parent.
As a father of four, I can tell you that the Safety 1st Riva 6-in-1 Flex Modular Travel System is a winner across the board. Safe, convenient, lightweight, user-friendly, and functional are all great words to describe a stroller, and this one deserves every one.
