When we purchased our older home in 2015, we created a list of changes that we wanted to make. Some of these upgrades, like replacing the old pink carpets, were taken care of right away, but other projects had to wait a little while.
For the past year or so, I’ve taken on the more difficult renovations on the list: the kitchen and dining rooms. We’ve been replacing the old appliances with new ones, installed a new sink and concrete countertops, refaced the kitchen cabinets, added new drawer hardware, changed the colors with new paint, and added board and batten wainscoting in the dining room.
One of the last major upgrades to make was new flooring for the kitchen and dining room, and I’m thrilled to say that the time for our new floors has come!

With that said, you can count on The Home Depot to provide expert knowledge and insight that’s only a click, phone call, or short drive away.
After doing lots of research online and in-store, we selected LifeProof Sterling Oak 8.7 in. x 47.6 in. Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring from The Home Depot.
Head over to The Home Depot blog to see my full flooring project reveal! There, I’ll describe in detail why LifeProof Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring was the right choice for our family of six. My main areas of consideration were:
