We’ve owned our current home for several years now, and during this time, our two daughters have shared a bedroom. It’s gone through several major changes as their tastes in toys and decorations have changed.
Mommy and I have recently updated their room again and I’d love to share the changes we made with you!
Girl’s Bedroom Makeover Essentials
Limitless Walls Wall Mural
The most dramatic change we made in our girl’s bedroom makeover is without doubt the new wall mural from Limitless Walls.
This new wall mural has completely changed the look of their bedroom and should provide inspiration for countless hours of imaginative play.

New Bunk Bed From Wayfair
Our girls have shared a full bed for years but they were ready for their own beds. Their room isn’t that big, so we were pretty limited on how to utilize the space.
After looking at lots of options, the perfect choice for the needs of girls (with a design they liked) was a bunk bed from Wayfair. We chose the Romo Twin Over Twin Bunk Bed by Viv + Rae. Here’s a brief overview:
- Slat Kit Included
- Guardrails Included
- Built-In Ladder Included
- Detachable Guardrails Included
- Bed Size: Twin over Twin
- Product Type: Bunk Bed
- Frame Material: Solid Wood (Pine)
- Box Spring Required: No
- Mattress Included: No
- Adult Assembly Required: Yes
- Weight Capacity Bottom Bed or Futon: 165 lb.
- Weight Capacity Top Bed: 165 lb.
We’re impressed by the quality of this bunk bed. It was easy to build and is holding up great.

Glitter Paint Dresser Makeover
Taking an old dresser and refinishing it is a great way to both give it new life and to tie it into a particular room and style.
I recently refinished our girls’ dresser with Rust-Oleum Sterling Silver glitter paint and loved how it turned out! Click on the link to check out my full article.
