From picking out a log and cutting it own to the desired length, to creating the votive candle holes, this project only took me about 10 minutes to complete!

Time needed: 10 minutes.
How To Make A Log Tealight Candle Holder
- Pick your log.
- Cut the log down to the desired length with a miter saw or chain saw.
- Measure the spacing for your candles.
- At each candle placement, use a spade bit to bore down about a 1/2″ into the log.
- Clean off the log, set in place, and insert your candles.

As you can see from the steps above, there’s not much work involved in this project. Simply find the right log, cut it to the desired length, use a spade bit to add the holes, and drop the candles in.
The candles that you see in my pictures are Lavish Home LED Tealight Candles from The Home Depot. They come with the batteries installed and easily turn on with the flick of a switch. These LED tealight candles have a soft glow that actually flickers!
